Silk Percussion is an ensemble of drummers, an experimental project that works with the ancient musical traditions of the countries of the Far Eastern region (China, Japan, Korea). The idea of creating such a project of drum music belongs to Yuri Rubin (Morpheus Hang).
The ensemble's program includes both acoustic drum fusion improvisations and compositions based on drum rhythms in electronic arrangements with the participation of musicians and composers working in various electronic music directions.
In the concert, which includes the elements of a theatrical performance (performance), in addition to the performance of the main staff (four drummers, flutist, electronics), participation of dancers, invited musicians - representatives of traditional cultures, use of specially prepared video series is also envisaged.
